Ashton Sanders to Play Bobby Brown in Whitney Houston Biopic I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY — GeekTyrant

Actor Ashton Sanders (Moonlight, Judas and the Black Messiah) has joined the forged of the Whitney Houston biopic, I Wanna Dance With Anyone. Sanders will play musician Bobby Brown, the previous husband of the late singer, and father of their daughter. Naomi Ackie is about to play Houston.

Harriet director Kasi Lemmons is on board to direct from a screenplay written by Academy Award nominee Anthony McCarten (The Principle of All the things, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Two Popes). Deadline experiences that “the movie will take audiences on an emotional, energetic journey via Houston’s profession and music.”

Sony and TriStar Photos will launch the movie in theaters on December 23, 2022.
