HBO Max’s Teen Drama Series Generation Canceled After One Season

HBO Max has formally determined to not renew creators Zelda and Daniel Barnz’s coming-of-age dramedy collection Era for a second season. The cancellation comes after over two months because the Lena Dunham-produced collection had concluded its 16-episode first season final July.

“We won't be shifting ahead with a second season of Genera+ion,” HBO Max mentioned in an announcement (by way of Deadline). “We're very proud to have partnered with Zelda and Daniel Barnz to faithfully and authentically signify LGBTQ youth with such a various group of characters and layered tales. We thank them and our splendidly gifted solid for all their arduous work and collaboration.”
